Dear Client
Last week I sold my 200th painting, not including charity donations, which is a major milestone for leMakoo that I’m very proud of.
To celebrate I’m going to offer one of my email subscribers the chance to own an original LeMakoo (any LeMakoo for sale on the website, not a commission) for a 50% discount.
LeMakoo doesn’t do sales, and never will. Once a year, every Christmas I offer a good deal to one my loyal email subscribers. I just thought this milestone was worthy of a special offer 🙂
I can still remember the feeling of selling my first painting, it’s similar to passing an exam with a high mark. Selling 200….well the feeling is unexplainable.
Here’s a bit of LeMakoo history, my first ever oil painting. Produced in my flat in London in 1988. Which makes it 25 years old now.
She’s certainly aged better than me…perhaps I should add some grey hairs. I was better looking then, but my art wasn’t 🙂
Also to mark this Milestone, from now on I will always sign my paintings ‘LeMakoo’ not Michael Wright. At the moment here are about five paintings in existence signed LeMakoo. The reason? I’m better known as LeMakoo than Michael Wright.
For example Jack Hoggan is now known as Jack Vettriano, (sounds more arty doesn’t it 🙂 His earliest works under his real name are now infinitely collectable. You will have seen his work, even if you don’t know his name. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Vettriano In fact, prints of his work decorate the MacDonalds in Spinola Bay.
Picasso in fact, was born Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de Paloma. His mother’s maiden name was Picasso.
Ok. All you have to do is reply to this email with a ‘yes please’ ,then I will count and number the replies. I use this website http://www.random.org/ to pick the winning number.
All the best of luck
Cheers Mike
