LeMakoo takes commissions very seriously. A commission is when you pay me to paint something for you.

To date, LeMakoo has produced over 100 commissions with a 100% success rate.

Allowing enough time

Oil paintings take me about a week to produce, and a week or two to dry. You need to allow approximately two weeks when commissioning an oil painting. Acrylic paintings can be produced much faster as they dry in one day.

Costs

The following costs are just a general guide. A painting can be ordered in any size up to 2.5 x 2.5metres. In any increment.

30x50cm=600 euros

60×60=800 euros

100×50=1200 euros

120×60=1400 euros

2mx1m=2800 euros

2mx2m=5600 euros

Once the commission has been agreed a 50% non-refundable deposit is required.

3a Accountants, a stunning two metre by 70cm oil on canvas painting that now adorns the company’s boardroom wall.

The client wanted a huge Valletta with lots of detail.

Anatomy of a commission

The client wanted an oil painting of his new boat. One to hang in the boat itself (80x40cm) and one to hang in the office (120x80cm). He supplied LeMakoo with pictures and also wanted his favourite lighthouse to appear in the painting.

After a meeting and a visit, a rough was prepared for the clients approval (see below)
